ArtOxford is run by Helen J.S.Edwards, an artist-teacher who enjoys sharing skills in the making, teaching and appreciation of art. Her biography gives an insight into her professional and academic life. She tries to make her adult courses enjoyable, shared experiences, whilst her exam and one to one tuition caters for individual needs. Ultimately, she wants to allow youngsters and adults to develop skills and grow as art practitioners and appreciators.

Helen J.S. Edwards

Helen JS Edwards (N.1971) studied a BA Fine Art & later completed an MA in Artist-Teacher Practice (ATP) at Oxford Brookes University. She has a PGCE in Secondary Art & with over 25 years of experience, has taught in Nursery, Primary, & Secondary schools, as well as a private tutor for children & adults.
Helen specialises in drawing and printmaking and her artwork focuses on a fusion between Eastern & Western cultures, water & communication, influenced by her transient childhood. Helen exhibits during Artweeks and in and around Oxford.
