I enjoyed the informal, friendly atmosphere. The high quality, imaginative of teaching, which was a good mix of holding back on tough criticism, & gently encouraging, congratulating & directing people to help them overcome nervousness, keep them motivated & help them improve their work. Also, I really appreciated the wide diversity of media available, the mix of positions and the different lengths given for each pose, from the initial warm-up exercises to the shorter & longer poses—all of which kept us interested and motivated & prevented tiredness. I enjoyed the moving session, though found it quite challenging & appreciated the opportunity to sit at tables, on the floor and use easels. Overall, the teaching is highly creative.
Summer Plein-Air Sessions.

I contacted Helen looking for a teacher to help with a Life Drawing class for a Stag Do - from the very start Helen was lovely and really thoughtful, suggesting prop ideas. Helen was also a wonderful teacher - successfully corralling us all and keeping us on topic, while being so informative and helpful that we could actively see our drawings improving as we went on. Nobody (including Helen) was quite sure what to expect when we started discussing the idea, but it ended up being an incredible day and none of us could praise Helen highly enough. What started as a novel idea became a memorable and fun experience that nobody will forget, and that's entirely thanks to Helen!
